Sue-Anne's farewell party!!! XD
Just came back from Sue-Anne's farewell party XD Twas a blast!!! No silly games to play...just a gathering of really great friends and chat till we can't chat no more XD (a pity to those who didn't manage to come...)
The food was great!! A lot better than most party food I have had XD And the compnay was BETTER XD Hehe....
So anyways...thanks Sue-Anne for having such a great party!! XD
Oh yeah...by the way....at the party...I was told by Kai that Sue-Anne received a call from the person in-charge of the badminton courts in Jaya Square....so apparently we'll have to pay them back =.=" Just when I was so happily telling Yuan Dong we got the game for free...ah well...until next time....

Today is....Sue-Anne's farewell party day!! XD
It's the 22nd of December!! Today is Sue-Anne's farewell party!! (she isn't actually going off until Febuary XD but I guess it's always good to have a party during the holidays~~)
So anyways...this morning...we were SUPPOSED to have badminton at 8am...so I set my alarm at 6.55am...when it rang...I was wondering why the heck I set the alarm on...so I stupidly switched it off =.=" I only woke up when Sue-Anne reached my house! (she was supposed to fetch me out...><) Well...ended up about 30 mins late...but apparently...the damned courts weren't open yet XD And we were also....void of shuttlecocks =.= Headed towards Carrefour...but found it doesn't open until 9.30am -.-" They should be open by 8am!! >< Malaysians need to take up earlier!!!
So Joshua suggested we go have breakfast....and we drove to McDs in SS15...in the end I was the only person who ate =.=" Ah well....at least now I would have energy to actually play badminton XD Headed to Carrefour AGAIN....at least they open one time...=.= Met Kai at Carrefour and had our expert Mr Jun Sheng choose the best shuttlecocks...and headed towards Jaya Square...
We played from 10am till 12pm....and when we left...we still saw no sign of the guy in charge of the court fees....so we just took off XD Haha...yeah! We got to play 2 hours for FREE XD
Had lunch at Peppercorn after a pretty long discussion XD Most of us took the meal (all but Joshua and Chuan Shen took the Chicken Quiche) Joshua took the Steak XD (rich bugger..) and Chuan Shen took some chicken dish...non-set...=.= We tried convincing him...that ordering the set is far cheaper...ah well...
Sue-Anne fetched all of us except Joshua back to our respective houses while Kai would stay at Sue-Anne's house until AFTER the party..(must help out with the preperations yeah? XD)
Well that's all for now...can't wait till 7pm!! Then the fun REALLY begins!! XD Hope to see you guys there!! XD

SAM 2006 Results are out!!!
So apparently today is THE big day for all SAM students (at least those from TUCSJ) that joined the 2006 intake....today is when all their efforts along the entire course of the year...pays off...or backfires at them...nevertheless it IS over...
Congratulations to Sue-Anne for scoring such a beautiful result in her course!! I wish you all the best in your future uptakings!! I'm sure you'll do even better in the future XD
Joshua? You haven't told me the results you got!! But from what Sue-Anne has told me...you did pretty damned well XD Actually your results were excellent!! So it was really a waste of time worrying so much about it eh? XD
Chuan Shen? Get back to me with your results ok?
I hope all SAM students at LEAST achieved what they set their mind to....and to those who didn't...don't give up...the journey through life is still far and long...and more obstacles await thee...
Congratulations to all!!

Langkawi!!! XD (one hell of a long post)
Haha...I've delayed this long enough....was kind of busy these few days...just got back from Penang on the 16th...went out to dinner on that day itself (was tired like mad....><) and then went out with family and relatives to KL via KTM...walked quite alot that day....many hours at least...went out at 10am+ reached home at 5pm+ if I remember correctly XD Also walked the distance from Sungei Wang (I think that is how it is spelt =.=) to KLCC...and THAT day itself...went back to Ipoh...(had to 'whan san'...repay the god's favour? Something like that la..) and just came back today! Whee got to drive from Ipoh to Ulu Bernam I think...XD furthest distance I drove so far!! And also the only time I've drove on the North South Highway XD Dad said I was too tense...I guess I was...not used to his car and highway driving is quite different from regular city driving...ah well a great experience nonetheless XD ANYWAYS...back to what I'm supposed to write about XD
Langkawi, a paradise...to many...it is an island filled with historical landmarks and culture...with beautiful beaches and a clear blue waters...many activities await those who decides to embark on a journey to this jewel of Malaysia... Langkawi is also one of the few places in Malaysia where they do not impose tax on many items...liquor, chocolate and the such...according to Mr. Hari (PM3's physics lecturer and mentor) "Beer is cheaper than WATER!!" Well...unless you bought that bottle of water from the hotel...I think that statement is abit exaggerated...nearly true though XD As the Kampai/Langkawi gang says it...."Duty free mah!!!"
So anyways... The actual planning of this journey of ours....well let's say it had a REALLY rough start (now imagine flying a small propeller plane through the worst thunderstorm in history...now the roughness of our planning...would SO overshadow that flight....'nuff said...) But we managed to pull through (despite the odds...remember that small propellar plane?) it all....in fact I am not ashamed to tell you that at one point it got SOOO bad...that we nearly cancelled the trip...but we didn't!! And I'm glad we didn't!!
So we decided to take the bus to Alor Setar...and from there...take another bus to the jetty...and of course take the ferry (which was nothing like what I had in mind...) to the island...since we used a travel agency to 'kao tim' our lodging and a few of our meals...we were provided with a tour the first day on the island as well as dinner...
Well...the first night (the night before we arrived in Langkawi) was abit scary in my opinion...I realised it is a futile effort to fear the unknown...the thing you should fear of most is of course....us humans >< (I've KNOWN this all along you could say....but I just REALISED and FELT it then...) Pudu Raya is quite a.....daunting place...with all sorts of characters moving around...(not the very friendly types I can assure you of that..) and it smelt like a thousand years worth of ciggarette smoke...the goverment should try and upgrade all the bus terminals in Malaysia (maybe to resemble something like KL Sentral station?) Bad enough I haven't fully recovered from an ill-timed illness (pun not intended) that I caught just several days before the trip =.=" now I had to inhale all these toxic gases (I despise ciggarette smoke...><) and suffer the stuffiness of the place!!! Ah well...good experience though :)
The good news was that our bus arrived on time!! (I think...even if it was late..it was only slightly late...XD) So we were happy with that :D (not only because it arrived on time...but because we could FINALLY get out of that smoke saturated coop...) So...the usual stuff when you board the bus happened XD It was 11pm by the way :) We got comfortable in the bus...and I MUST thank my mum for insisting I bring along a jacket (I thrive at low temperatures...so I argued that I wouldn't need one..) because after awhile....the bus got quite...artic-ish XD And the aircon wasn't even aimed at me!! The fact that I was still abit sick didn't help either... All of us (I believe anyways...) slept nearly the entire journey....waking up once in awhile...when we felt changes in the bus' movement (we nearly hit a car...at one point so the bus kinda..jerked pretty badly XD...and I'm sure the bus reached 160km/h several times along the way...) and of course when we stopped...for a break (took a few pictures here...but all of them were blur...lighting was pretty bad...and a photographer we got...well I think she has NEVER handled a camera before...and probably doesn't understand English...)
Arrived (damn...this is getting really long isn't it? I'm sorry...) at Alor Setar (this terminal was a little better than Pudu Raya...in terms of the reduced stuffiness...but it wouldn't be something you want to mention this in the Cuti-cuti Malaysia brochure....) at around 6am+ and waited more than an hour for the bus to the Kuala Kedah jetty =.= (I took the last of my cough syrup here...let's not talk about HOW I did that...) Had a group of Malays smoking away near us...(all us didn't respond well to ciggarette smoke...Ms. Param's lessons!!) of which Jia Wen commented that they look like they were heading to Langkawi...
Took the earliest ferry...and to our changrin....we discovered we couldn't book our bus tickets BACK to Pudu Raya!!! What a horrible turn of events!! (Oh yeah....remember that Malay gang I was talking about just now? Jia Wen was right...they WERE heading to Langkawi..met them at the jetty buying ferry tickets...XD) But we brushed it off soon enough...we were too damned anxious to get on the island XD The ferry we boarded was not much of a ferry (my definition and image of a ferry is a HUGE boat/ship :P that could carry cars, lorries, tankers, tanks, airplanes, a small city....whoops..cancel the last one out XD) Sea wasn't choppy at all (much to my disappointment..)
Reached the island at....10am+ if memory serves me right...and walked towards a sign that said...."Chan Yin Fei" (so apparently we were the Chan Yin Fei group....her name was chosen because it was the top of the list...) and we got this REALLY nice guide....En. Kamal XD (which Jia Wen so....cutely called him XD)
First stop....Bird Park!! (I never knew this place existed =.=) Saw many different...animals...not just birds....there were civet cats, rodents, fish and various birds...a typical bird park...there was this ....cage-like structure that held a flock (I think this is the word..) of peacocks that Joshur and Murresh entered (no....not illegally...there WAS a door) and chased them around...have some video footages on it...enjoy :P
Well that wasn't much fun....so we headed on...to Galeri Perdana!! (I think that is what it is called..) Another boring place....well at least it had great airconditioning...and the exhibits were ok....a few were actually quite the eye-candy....but nothing worth the mention...took a few interesting pictures...(which...I have to mention...you had to pay a small fee to bring the camera in...how sad...) I remember seeing some really nice antique cars when I last came....didn't see them this time...either I missed it ...or they took it off the shelf ><
Ah well... The 3rd stop was MUCH better....Underwater World!! Took many pictures in this marine sanctuary (or should I say penitentiary?) Saw many fishes (I must say..this place has expanded ALOT since I last visited...but they lost a VERY important part of it...the petting pool...a place where you could handle a few marine creatures...well they probably all died from overhandling of the oh-so-friendly tourists...or maybe from food-poisoning from the not-so-clean hands..) The freshwater exibits were very impressive :D I like aquatic life XD Hehe...so maybe the rest of the group didn't find it all that impressive XD
Oh by the way...we had our lunch at a resturant beside Underwater World...before we entered...there were like...7 dishes...and the serving was rather large...despite being low on manpower (there was only 7 of us to finish something that could easily satisfy 10-12 people's appetite...) we won the battle...and it was all clean by the time WE were done with it XD
Finally checked-in to our hotel....Aseania (which supposedly have the longest swimming pool in Malaysia?) Well...it wasn't a good hotel...>< Don't recommend it XD (bad service...swimming pool that closes early and opens late =.=...and horrible food XD) Rested awhile...and headed off to the beach...it was a close distance away...and humans were few...which was great...cleaner beach XD Had alot of life near the coast...you could easily find hermit crabs, fishes and lalas at the water line...so you know the water is clean (dirty waters normally don't harbour life..) An interesting event took place here....Joshur was abit drunk on Lemon Gin....(something that only contains 5% alcohol =.=) and started chasing Jia Wen around...I don't remember the reason anymore...
Got back to the hotel and refreshed ourselves...went to Helang Square to look at the majestic statue that is the symbol of Langkawi, a huge eagle....the view was beautiful at night....(much nicer than compared in the day...) and after a few pictures of the monument...we headed on for dinner!! I can't remember the name of ANY of the restaurants we dined in...not that it matters because the food wasn't spectacular...but once again....they were served in huge portions...7 dishes again...*sigh*
Oh yeah...I HAVE to point this out...this conversation took place when we were planning for Langkawi...
Trace(our travel agent): Seafood dinner..
Jia Wen: Seafood? What seafood?
Trace: Huh!? What seafood ah? Ah...Fish ah...crab ah...prawn ah...
OK...so you may not (and probably WILL not) find that funny...because it lacks the TONE...but i swear I laughed for at least 2 minutes...
Jia Wen wanting to eat satay (that was cheap...damn it only cost RM0.30!! Well...like they say...Duty free mah!!) En. Kamal brought us to the night market XD Had lots of food there...we bought supper...but most of the things were finished before we even reached the van =.=" And next on the list....shopping of course!! Who in their right mind comes to Langkawi without even a short shopping spree?? XD Some of us bought some chocolates....and a bottle of Kampai...this brand name will forever be in our memories...and headed back to the hotel...Joshur and Huwai Ern downed their Kampai and Joshur's face turned to a tomato!! (not become plump and succulent la...) It was SOOO red XD I think he was more than a little drunk then....XD (not dead drunk...high drunk...) and had....a PILLOW FIGHT XD haha...Jia Wen was our reigning champion....she fought with the ferocity of a tiger and her eyes shone a light that really freaked me out...>< Me? Well let's just say I would probably lose to a 5 year old girl...But it was serious fun XD We were beat after the intense battle...
Apparently...I missed this part out :P
So anyways...after the battle..the 'casualties' (the people who were dead tired...) slept...they were Murresh, Huwai Ern, Jia Wen, Ee Laine and Joshur...in actual fact...Yin Fei and me (the survivors :P) wasn't in any better shape...but we managed to stay awake..because we are to accompany the two Manchester United fans Ee Laine and Joshur to watch a football match...once it was around 12.30pm (deduced this from the fact that Yin Fei told me the match was at 1am :P) we tried to wake the two fans up...but to no avail...it took quite some 'persuasion' before they 'willingly' got to their feet...(and I thought THEY were the fans =.=") and we were on our way to...Offshore!!! A pub that actually opens quite late (in Langkawi time anyway...) It was a pleasant place...(at the start...) Ee Laine, Joshur and Yin Fei each ordered a fruit juice...me being 'kiam siap' didn't order anything XD (actually it was because my throat was still...sore) Well...you HAD to order something if you plan to sit there for 1 and a half hours!! Anyways...it was all fine and dandy...until a group of guys decided to catch the game as well...and JUST so happen...they were SMOKERS...*sigh* Well we didn't walk all the way there just to go back...so we decided to stay and endure the hellish gases...I fell asleep the moment the match started...Yin Fei managed to stay awake the whole time...and well the two fans...no need to mention the state of their awareness yeah? Oh yeah...there was a FROG (yes it was alive..) in the washroom....wasn't pleasant meeting such a creature when you are in the middle of such private business...and apparently there were several cockroaches roaming the premises...I was fortunate enough to not have set my sights on such spawn of darkness....
After half time...(I think thats what it is called =.=" You see...I am not a fan of football...and neither is Yin Fei by the way...) Ee Laine and Joshur decided they had enough of the game (naw...not really..) We kinda reached our tolerance limit for smoke inhalation...(the goverment should really ban ciggarettes...but too bad for use non-smokers...the ciggarette industry generates a HUGE volume of revenue in the form of taxes....*sigh*) and headed back...We were dead tired...when we reached the hotel and just fell asleep after abit of cleaning up...
Woke at 8.45am...which was mightly late...>< The breakfast was horrible =.= But I managed to fill my stomach with eggs and toast with some cereal (can't really go wrong there..) And after a not very satisfying breakfast...we headed off to our chartered van :D It costs RM30 per hour (to which Ee Laine asks...got driver one or not?), but was well worth the price...finding transport on Langkawi borders on impossible...or impossibly expensive XD Took the van to....Oriental Village!! To take the cable car up....some mountain...I don't remember the name...but the highest we went to was 710m!! XD And by the way...it was surprisingly cooling up there despite only being 710m above sea level...that should only result in a 1degree drop in terms of temperature...took some pictures as usual XD The scenery was beautiful....quite worth the RM15 cable car fee...hehe...
Then we headed off to......Telaga Tujuh!! This famous (infamous for Mr Akaash :P) waterfall is home to many of our funny escapades in Langkawi XD The journey up....was pretty easy to the guys....the gurls...well let's just say it wasn't a walk in the park for them...and Jia Wen despite having all that martial arts...had to stop ever so often XD Oh well...we reached up there at a relatively quick pace...but of course...not everything went.....right :P Since Joshur and Murresh went first..we were greeted by a very wet Murresh...(I thougt heck...so fast he had fun already? Didn't even wait for us...) And also a very....odd story...behind Murresh's wet attire...XD Apparently...he slipped into 1 of the pools...and slid quite a distance....unfortunately for him and Ee Laine...he was carrying a bag that belonged to her...and of course...he dropped it XD First thing that crossed his mind was to throw his stuff to the side....and try to recover the bag...and it's contents...XD He managed to recover quite a few items XD But as fate would have it...not all XD And there was this...umbrella(the small retractable ones..) that dangled...ever so tentatively at the EDGE of the waterfall...Murresh yelled across to a couple of people near the umbrella...but it seems they didn't get what he was saying...when they DID...they tried to reach for it...and naturally...at that precise moment...it fell XD Ee Laine also lost her cap XD
Had our lunch at Telaga Tujuh...which wasn't great...but at least the enviroment was serene...and realised we spent a LONG time...too long...>< Thus...we could only go to one more location before our time is up...to the beach!! I don't remember the name of the beach anymore =.= But we played watersports there and it OWNED XD We rented a canoe (cheapest thing there...RM35 for 1 canoe unlimited usage) and it was mainly used to let those who aren't jet skiing to have something to do...The girls decided to go jet skiing (bloody expensive...RM100 for 30 mins...) and the guys at first decided NOT to go...but th girls insisted that a guy should steer the jet ski...and so we complied with their request (which isn't a BAD thing...) And lucky me...I was up first! XD I don't even know how to ride a bicycle...(Murresh says riding a jet ski is the same as a motorcycle..=.=) let alone this contraption...but theres a first for everything...so I took a test run...and came back to pick up my 'wife' (the guy on the jet ski referred to my partner as that until I have him the "I'm-only-18-this-year" look and quickly changed the word to friend...) who was Yin Fei XD Started slow...but I did manage to go full speed XD Haha...didn't want to drop my partner off in the middle of the sea...>< After about 2 rounds...we decided we should let the others have a go...so Huwai Ern and Ee Laine got on....(all the guys that went jet skiing was given a test run and some instrcutions..) Huwai Ern skied to close to the shore...(he said he wasn't given proper instructions...) so we had to shout for him to go out...he nearly decapitated a couple...>< And next up was Joshur and Jia Wen...well they were too close to the shore as well (bad instructions I'm guessing...) but they eventually learned...so they headed out...and nearly didn't come back XD I guess Joshur fell in love with the jet ski....he was going a tad bit too slow though.....
Haha..after everyone (but Murresh unfortunately...) had their fun on the jet ski....we went on ....the Banana Boat!! Super uber fun!! XD We fell twice!! And Murresh was GREAT help to unstabilise the boat!! Hehe...Simple Harmonic Motion yo!! XD Oh...and I'm really sorry to those I injured (Jia Wen and Yin Fei) during our first fall...>< Jia Wen had to take a rest from all the action and climbed on the speed boat...leaving me in front...and with fervent bouncing on the banana boat...I took blasts after blasts of salt water on my face!!(the place where my EYES are located...hurt like hell XD) The 2nd fall was more pleasant as everyone was a little bit more prepared XD It also marked the end of our joy ride...we played awhile on the beach...and then went to a bathing facility (which costs RM1 per person) for a shower and got ready for dinner XD
Had dinner at some resturant....this time only 6 dishes I believe XD And off to the shops once again!! We bought the bulk of our stuff this time round...(I hardly got anything...no money =.=) Jia Wen got herself a beer (Asahi...some Japanese beer..) Joshur, Ee Laine and Yin Fei got their Kampai, and Huwai Ern got his Absolut Vodka (Ee Laine and Yin Fei got them also...but they didn't drink it...unlike Huwai Ern) Well there was some serious drunkeness that night XD Joshur and Jia Wen both got high on their drink...and Huwai Ern took 3 drops of the Vodka and slept...XD (actually he was in pain from all the walking....)
And another night of pillow fightning...this night was more...intense than the night before...alot of casualties XD Yin Fei had a cut...and Jia Wen got a cut on her leg....I had a bruised eye XD Haha...well to heck with the injuries...it was a hell lotta fun XD After that...we got out and walked at the beach...enjoying the beautiful moon (which was full...) and our main event...crab catching!! We were severely underequipped...only having a small camera phone light to locate our crab holes...and nothing else...but we made do with the refuse lying around...1 1.5L bottle cut in 3 parts...2 small plastic bags...and sticks...the first 10 attempts were horrible failures...but after our 1st crab...the other 2 were easy pickings...we carried our prizes back to the hotel...and emptied them into a waste basket...
After awhile...we got bored...and headed out for a short walk...till about 3am....which was quite...soothing...but really bad scenarios kept playing in my head over and over again....after all ...it was only Murresh and me with all the 3 girls...but fortunately...nothing happened....went back to the hotel exhausted.... We overslept =.= Ended up rushing for breakfast....and delaying our ride to the jetty XD Joshur had to order something like 7 omellettes and 9 eggs...>< for all of us XD The guy didn't fry that many....the que got too long I think XD Ah well... Took the next ferry....which came late...=.= and arrived in Kuala Perlis...(I only noticed 1 building taller than 5 stories...) and took a bus that left at 2.45pm...>< That means we would only arrive at 10pm+!! This wasn't going to register well in our parent's minds!!(but surprisingly...we all didn't get any form of anger..)>< Had no choice (this is what you get with bad planning...) But even the journey back was great....had alot of crapping done in the bus XD With us being the loudest group...(we always were I feel...except maybe in the ferry....)
Finally we reached our homes (through Joshur and Ee Laine's parent's cars....) and that felt so good...XD
Well that was Langkawi...the actually experience can't be described in words...way more than that....and once again I'm sorry it was such a long post...I doubt anyone would actually manage to properly reach this line...until next time...
Hari (PM3's physics lecturer and mentor) "Beer is cheaper than WATER!!" Jia Wen was right...they WERE heading to Langkawi..met them at the jetty buying ferry tickets...XD) But we brushed it off soon enough...we were too damned anxious to get on the island XD The ferry we boarded was not much of a ferry (my definition and image of a ferry is a HUGE boat/ship :P that could carry cars, lorries, tankers, tanks, airplanes, a small city....whoops..cancel the last one out XD) Sea wasn't choppy at all (much to my disappointment..)

Penang!!!
Penang island, "The Pearl of the Orient" (I think that is what it was called...not sure if the name STILL applies..) a beautiful island off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia...(although I must say...I've seen more beautiful beaches...as well as clearer waters...).
That sounded like something you find on a vacation voucher...(minus those words in the brackets of course...)
Anyways, this post will be about the trip me and my friends (all of whom are ex-classmates..) planned for quite awhile :D
As all Malaysians will know..Penang island is home of the BEST foods around in Malaysia :D (the only other contender I see would be Ipoh...I think they stand on the same level ^^) And quality comes at a price :D Which was rather surprising (to me....) The Char Kuay Teow (numerous ways of spelling this dish..) was awesome!! (apparently one of the better known stores in Penang...first time I've actually seen a QUE for Char Kuay Teow...) And it costs RM5.50 for a rather small plate (relative to those in Subang Jaya anyways..)!! They use LARGE prawns...unlike those in Subang (the prawns used in Subang have negligible size..) but of course those in Subang usually only cost RM3.50~ Oh yeah...the owners of the stall were twins!! AND they cooked using charcoal (or coal..not sure which...) instead of gas!!! Damn skillful ok? XD
Penang Laksa is just plainly HEAVENLY on the tongue!! And I doubt the one I had a bowl from was even the best in Penang :D Oh...and did I mention this? It was super cheap for something so nice...only RM2.50 per bowl.....we had it in Gurney Drive..
Ok..enough about food...I would take up several pages just to explain the shear awesomeness of the food we had in Penang :D Now frankly....3 days and 2 nights in Penang is simply not enough...unless you arrive 6am in the morning the first day and leave at something like 7pm on your last day...of course you would also need access to a car the whole time...AND have a person in your group that knows his/her away around the island :D But we managed to have fun all the same :D Despite not visiting most of the more famous areas of Penang...anyways...we were kinda bored of looking at temples and things like that...and by the way...the public transport in Penang isn't as bad as people say it is...Buses are quite frequent..(every 15 mins or so..) and taxi fares aren't crazily high (as we were made to believe...)
First day:
LCCT at about 9am+, I fount it quite impressive they managed to build it within a year...had a good air conditioning system...but it was funny to see several flies around just about every corner...boarded an AirAsia A320 (whee!! new plane!!) via those mobile metal staircase (no fancy boarding bridge in LCCT) and it wasn't late!! (something AirAsia should be proud of..) But I have to say...the air stewardess on AirAsia....really put a thick layer of makeup...so thick that you can't tell the person's original skin colour =.=" Maybe AirAsia should provided their air stewardess with some makeup training or something..
Took quite a long time to arrive at the bus stop near Penang airport...(they should have a bus stop AT the airport...) and it took us 4 locals just to find the bus stop...the buses in Penang was in pretty bad condition (old...and aircon-less) but at least they were QUITE on time :D Well it was cheap so I don't have many complaints..(truth be told I think those buses are older than me =.=) Had Penang Loh Mee (which is different from the KL version) which was quite good :D
Reached Sri Sayang apartments sometime after 3pm...(the service was bad...took us so long just to get our rooms..despite it being more than an hour after check-in time =.=) Rested awhile and made our way to the beach...XD Not a very impressive beach I have to say...but not particularly disappointing either...(considering the volume of people visiting Penang..) There was this really weird organism we found on the beach...close to the water line...it looked like some translucent packet of yellowish orange liquid with reddish organs in it...and it was ALIVE....scary things...

The weird jellyfish thing!!

1...2...POSE!!! (wah sai...look at Jia Ling!!)
Had dinner at some place called End of the World (I think those were the words...more or less like that la..XD) The food wasn't particularly good..(they didn't clean teh crabs properly...had gills oO) Well at least we only had to pay like RM22 per person and we had crab, fish, sotong, Orh Chien (oyster omelet) and veggie :D Went to Ferringi Walk which is like a street full of stalls...(sadly...they start closing at 11pm onwards...in fact...most things in Penang close early by 1am...practically NOTHING is open...except 7-Eleven...I heard the gas stations close much earlier than 1am...Penangites should start to develop a better night life...) Jun Sheng managed to get a pair of shades and a Rolex watch at reasonable prices...(this guy has GREAT bargaining skills XD)
Walked towards the beach...but some of us (not me..) found it too scary to walk through the path that lead to the beach...so we went to other hotels to try our luck...no luck (on the way...Yuan Dong and Jia Ling managed to spot 2 meteors...while the rest of us spotted none =.=)XD Went back to the apartment exhausted...
Second day:
Woke up relatively late...about 8.45am and just grabbed some bread from the apartment's convenient store as breakfast...and to the beach we went! Jun Sheng and Sue-Anne went up parasailing together and once again Jun Sheng managed to shave RM5 off his and Sue-Anne's parasailing fee with his skills XD Went on the banana boat after they came down!! This ride wasn't as great as the in Langkawi...we didn't fall!! So when we reached the shore...we told the man..and he told the guy on the boat to pull us out to capsize us XD Quite a pleasant fall...(heck falling is the only damned reason you should go on a banana boat ^^) Had to tow Wui Li back towards the shore because he couldn't swim...Actually spotted several jellyfishes...thank heavens we didn't get stung by any!!
Went out to town and had the most awesome Char Kuay Teow in my life...visited Fort Cornwallis (I've never actually heard of this place before..) It wasn't half bad...but that was by no means because of the Fort itself..it was more because of the fact there were interesting animals at a corner of the fort...a bird that could talk and whistle stole out attention XD And there was this old-style swing (long enough for 2 people to sit on...but the branches didn't look like it could support 2 people swinging vigorously on it..) The swing was very nice...plan to make one of those when I get my own house XD Went to Pulau Tikus Market for Asam Laksa...but it was closed by the time we arrived...so opted for Gurney Drive instead....wasn't at all disappointed with the food there XD
Headed back...the girls and Jun Sheng couldn't stand walking anymore..so they went back the apartment to rest...Wui Li had to see his friends..and Yuan Dong had to buy shades for his brothers...(he promised XD) so I followed him....he managed to push the price of the shades from RM25 to RM10...very impressive XD (he mentioned something about his dad's bargaining genes starting to surface...) When we arrived at the apartment...my legs felt like rubber XD Rested a short while and headed off to the beach with our grand plan to roast marshmallows!!! Collected some wood and leaves...and TRIED to start a fire...unfortunately for us...it drizzled abit before...so the wood wasn't bone dry...and thus...we failed to start a fire...decided to just do some star gazing XD This time..me and Jun Sheng spotted a few meteors! (I had 3...Jun Sheng had 2..) The first 2 was only like a split-second apart! I find it surprising most of my friends have no knowledge of the constellations...probably because we can't see many (if any XD) constellations in Subang..
Final day:
Went back to the apartment exhausted...and just kinda slept XD (that's me anyways...my friends chatted and stuff..) and woke up REALLY late and sadly...me and Dong had abit of a stomach problem (damned cockles XD) So we were lucky we didn't take the bus XD Well the trip ended then...
Was a GREAT trip nonetheless (we didn't really visit any of the more famous places on Penang...but it is the company that counts ^^) So thank you guys!! ;D We have to do this more often!!
The post on Langkawi is coming soon...I am rather brain-drained after recalling the entire Penang trip...(and my stomach isn't helping..) and by the way...sorry for the extremely long post :P

I created a BLOG?
Ok...fact is...I didn't expect to create this blog =.= I thought I was only creating an account so I can post in a classmate's blog >< Well I was halfway through...so I thought what the heck...
Mind you...I have no skills in blogging whatsoever...and I doubt I'll be entertaining...or will be updating this blog often...ah well...maybe I'll get the hang of it...some day.... XD
So anyways...I guess I should introduce myself?
Name: Qi Hong (pronounced 'kee hong'...nobody ever gets the 'hong' wrong...but hardly ANYONE gets the 'qi' right...so don't worry about it...)
Age: 18(just had my birthday....several days ago...)
Gender: Male
Occupation: WHAT occupation? I'm only 18!!! Tsk....studying in Taylor's University College Subang Jaya, Cambridge A-Levels...leaving in 6 months..kinda sad..
Likes?: No idea...hard to define...
Dislikes?: Plenty...not much of a point listing them down (due to the shear amount of data THAT contains..) But just to name a few, smokers (not in particular...I just HATE smoke...and I don't see why people would just want to kill themselves..AND pay for it!!!), foul-language (I admit I use them occasionally as well..but when you hear streams of profanities...well that's just wrong..) and studying!! (yes...to me...the ULTIMATE neccessary evil ever created in the world...*sigh*)
Well...the rest of me...I really don't know how to put them in words...but they say you are who you are because of the people around you...and of course...I can't judge myself...so I'll leave the rest up to you guys :D
That's it for now...(will post about my 'class' trip to Langkawi which was UBER fun...and coming up next...the trip to Penang with my friends!!)
