A flurry of celebrations :)

I wish to thank everyone who celebrated my birthday with me :)

No matter how small a part you THINK you played, I would like you to know I appreciated it very VERY much :)

The presents were all amazing, the food was good, the warmth I felt was incredible, but most importantly... the company I had was simply heaven sent :D

So thank you! And I would like to apologise if I didn't look as urm... surprised/touched or something during the actual event... I don't express myself well lol

PS - for those of you who couldn't make it.. its fine! I still do appreciate the fact you tried :) Its the thought that counts! But I do hope we can meet up before I leave!

Today~

Wasn't very productive with regards to my visa application~

But I DID suppose get some things done :)

Fetched my dad to the KTM station... then headed towards Terminal 2~ (looks so abandoned compared to the rather newly refurbished Terminal 3)

Collected my passport in the morning... it was pretty fast~ Got it in less than half and hour...

The way back was a bit packed though... 3 lanes -> 2 lanes is a biatch lol

Then... wanted to go get me some passport sized photos... went to SS 19 but it was closed so I decided to do it later~

Fetched Poh Hoong to her friend's house in USJ 2 and managed to get there just fine XD

Then went to Taipan... and tried looking for a photography studio (was unsuccessful) so I went to get Yong and we went for lunch :)

She wanted pasta so we decided on Unos :D

Its so pricey man lol

But it was good :D

Had the Beef Lasagna and Lime Juice which was pretty nice ^^

Yong took the Carbonara and Iced Lemon Tea :D

After sending her back to the office... I managed to find a studio lol

So yes.. I've got my photos...

Ah yes! I forget... I booked my tickets :D

Extremely expensive though lol

I'm joining the rest of the gang by taking AirAsia + Qantas to get to Auckland (because any other airline that goes direct would set me off around RM 4000++ ONE WAY)

AirAsia (20th January, 1320hrs) - RM 1580

Qantas (21st January, 0610hrs) - AUD 348

So it adds up to about RM 2660... one way ticket and must fly 2 budget airlines lol

Pray for me that AirAsia doesn't delay? XD

I still need...

- medical examination report
- good conduct letter done with
- get my offer letter T.T
- pay fees
- get visa application done

Wish me luck!

Hell of a wait...

Went to the Immigration Office in Subang Airport to renew my passport today...

Arrived around 8am~

Lined up for my photo (I didn't have any recent ones) and that took around one hour plus...

Got into the line for the passport application, finally got it at 9.45am...

Current number: 1065
Your number: 1199

=.="

Finally reached my turn at around 2pm (since 9.45am mind you) and got everything done by 2.15pm >.<

And all that without an ounce of entertainment except some SMSes :)

I need a portable media device lol

Will have to pick it up tomorrow =.="

Have got a tonne of things to do next week...

Need to get my visa application on track...

Need to renew my passport...

Need to find out about a lot of tings lol

Need to start application for accommodation in Auckland...

And... I've got my birthday celebration(s)~

Whew~

PC Fair :DDDD

Went to the PC Fair today in KLCC :D

Hmm... Sue-Anne picked me and Wui Li up around 9+ and met up with Jo at the Taman Jaya LRT station at around 10.30~

Went to KLCC and headed towards the PC Fair...

Apparently we went through the alternative entrance so we kinda skipped a whole floor lol

First round is as usual to collect all the brochures and get the best price on stuff we're interested in~

Wui Li:
- External HDD
- Thumbdrives

Jo:
- External HDD

Sue-Anne:
- Netbook

Me:
- Mouse
- Mousepad

So yes.. with goal in mind.. we went in!

Basically the process was just to scan through all the stalls and see if anything catches our eye... (and if the price is right)

But it was a bit intimidating to go through.. THE LINE

You may wonder what this is... but if you were there.. you'd be VERY familiar with this LINE of people from Streamyx, Maxis, Celcom and Digi.. all trying to get you to sign up with the latest broadband deals

It was a pretty arduous task just getting pass them =.="

So anyways...

A lot of awesome stuff to see... I mean.. nothing special~ But it was pretty awesome to look at (especially the screens and the Razer booth.. which by the way had L4D2 ZOMGG... they played on highest settings + gaming peripherals + awesome screen.. gosh it looked good)

A lot of nice demos of games.. all will make you gaga because of the sheer awesomeness of the quality of the graphics + the huge ass display lol

After going through one round.. we went to Madam Kwan's for lunch~

Sue-Anne, Jo and I took the Nasi Lemak while Wui Li took the Fried Rice (Sue-Anne ordered Iced Milo and Jo grabbed a Coke)

Meal was good :)

Went back to the convention centre... and finally started purchasing stuff :)

Jo drew first blood by buying a 4GB CF card (impulse buying lol) for RM 99~

He was SO tempted to get the Extreme 16GB going with a RM 300 discount I think... but he didn't lol

Then we went walking around...

I met up with Chui King (told you to go work as a showgirl.. the pay confirm better lol) who was trying to sell Fujitsu laptops lol

Sue-Anne started looking through even more netbooks.. and we finally stumbled upon one which looked pretty darn good...

The Ferrari netbook by Acer O.o

The specs were nothing to shout about (pretty expensive too.. RM 2300) but it looked goooood....

Red + Ferrari logo + Ultra slim design = GGfied XD

Urm.. went down I believe...

Next to draw blood was Sue-Anne, Wui Li and me~

Saw the Logitech headphones which went for RM 49 (pretty cheap) the first time so we decided to get them (Yong wanted one.. I needed headphones and Sue-Anne wanted one for David) and... lucky us...

When we went, they just started giving a package, headphones (RM 49) + mouse (RM 39) = RM 69 :D

We bought 3 sets (Sue-Anne and I both took one set, Yong took the headphones and Wui Li took the mouse)

Awesome XD

Then...

Went and look for Wui Li and Jo's externals~

Wanted to get the Samsung one at first... but they changed their mind and bought a WD one instead (RM 260 and RM 310 I think... for 500GB [2.5] and 1TB [3.5])~

Then, Sue-Anne went and bought her netbook (got an Eee PC from Asus for RM 1399)

Me and Jo were REALLY tempted to buy the Razer/Steel Series mousepad for RM 45~49...

But we found the Choiix one pretty decent (RM 15) so we took that one instead :)

Oh well... perhaps next time~

It was a good day for me really! Bought 3 items (the last time I went I just got my wireless mouse lol) and it only cost me RM 84?

Pretty decent really :)

We went back after that.. and stayed awhile at the A&Ws in PJ :) Been ages since I've been there...

Had a regular float which was awesome as usual :D

And went back...

Oh!

I nearly forgot!

I saw the HTC HD2 in FLESH (well technically its probably glass, silicon, metal, plastic etc)!

And gosh... it was ....

Simply be-awesome la... it just FEELS so damn good...

And when I showed it to the gang... they had that 'Wow... that IS something' expression on their face lol

And Jo (who really wanted an iPhone 3GS) said (when I showed him the iPhone stall after) "I don't think I want an iPhone anymore... the HTC HD2... wow"

:D

Ah well... its nice to have been in the presence of such a magnificent device :)

PS - the headphones are decent~ Bass a bit lacking but I'm ok with it ^^
- am LOVING the mousepad and mouse (even my sister said it was nice to use) :D

Steamboat at Darren's~

Darren invited us over to have steamboat lunch over at his house~

Hitched a ride in Laine's car (yes we still carpool apparently XD) and off we were to IMU!

Met up with Alvina and then Darren came over to guide us to his house :)

Went pass The Mines again.. gosh the houses there are awesome (one looked bigger than IMU hahaha)

The steamboat was pretty good :D

Apparently Darren's first try at making the broth and frying the garlic...

Was pretty good I must say... and no signs of any stomach discomfort :P

Quite a lot of stuff to eat really... had fish (white pomfret) fishballs, beefballs, some meat thingy, crabmeat wrapped in fish paste, wong nga pak, chicken, a lot of fried stuff lol

Was pretty filling.. didn't even need to eat the yee mee XD

Then we washed up and had ice cream :)

Had a short karaoke session after that (he has a karaoke machine in his house.. awesomeness)~

Sang to a lot of songs la.. (4 mics, 5 people... you say leh? lol)~

So yeah... had a really great time basically!

Thanks so much for having us Darren! And for all your effort of getting things ready for us :) It was a truly enjoyable lunch I must say ^^

See you guys tomorrow! :D

Sleepover!

I think about a week before EOS5 started...

Jian suddenly suggested: Let's have a sleepover at my house on Monday!

And well, it happened :D

In case you didn't know.. Jian has a really awesome house (Laine and Daph both agreed when they went there for the first time..) and so naturally, we were quite excited we would get to sleepover there :)

So how was it?

I won't go into the details (since theres so so so much to talk about...).. so perhaps a summary would be nicer :D

- Laine, Daph and Kat picked me up from my house (we were late to go to IMU)

- Laine, Daph, Kat and Alvina took their HPV vaccination in IMU

- Iggy joined Alvina's car and we headed towards Jian's house (very long journey because of the jam)

- Took a tour around Jian's house (really awesome)

- Started the BBQ

- Jian's sister and CK helped us BBQ (and we helped them after her friends came over)

- BBQ had chicken wing and drumsticks, beef, lamb, fish, potato, mushroom, sausages, onions, corn, marshmallows, cincau and prawns (yummy)

- Showered and went to the AV room for movie marathon (made popcorn with the microwave) Wild Child, White Chicks and Mean Girls

- Slept at around 4am

- Woke up around 10am

- Had brunch in Damansara Jaya (dim sum)

- Went back to Jian's house and fed the fishes/take pictures (the latter we did a LOT)

- Went home

Now.. it doesn't sound so interesting when we put it in point form... but it was a helluva sleepover XD

The house was AWESOME!

Loved the wooden concept, super geng chao fish pond, extremely practical and stylish innovations (all over the house) and well.. the general feel of the house :)

Thanks so much for having us over Jian! And while I do doubt we'll do it again anytime soon... do invite us over to your house again :P

I shall await the comments to come in to complete my post (ie share their feelings about the inadequateness of this post lol)
